Several years ago I had some custom ear plugs made and I wear them when I ride anything. Sometimes wear them just watching races. Riding and watching is much more enjoyable without excessive noise.

Kudos to dragon for sharing the muffler modification with us. My bike is now much more pleasant to ride and there is no discernable reduction in performance; only noise has been lost.

You won't need your battery charger. The Hi-Bird comes with a gel battery which will most likely be fully charged when you receive the bike.
