Questions for the Hi-Bird 250 Owners.

Hey everyone.

I have a few specific questions for you guys about your Hi-Birds.

1. How many miles do you have on it?
2. Have you had any problems to report?
3. Would you buy it again if given the opportunity??

Thanks!!!

Oh, yah, another question.

What manufacturer is this bike actually made by? I'm trying to get a quote for insurance on progressive, and I can't find "Hi-Bird."

So, what name did you guys use for the brand??

I did some investigation for insurance and went with the same agent that has my cars, Allstate. Most of the online quote templates have the option "other" and thats what I used and my agent did the same thing.

Zundapp, which Hi-Bird do you have? (the older, Lifan GY-2 clone type or the newer 250 (looks to be Zongshen-derived)?

The older ones seem to be pretty stout, and the newer ones are, well, newer, although I don't think there will be major problems (I am sure 'Universal' will figure out his carb issues).

Culcune,

My Hi-Bird is a 2007 250cc version. Several other members have the identical bike which was purchased from VBike in OK. I have no idea what the Lifan GY-2 looks like so I cannot make a comparison.

It is the 200cc bike that was on Ebay (still is) from Hi-Bird. The GY-2 is the bike that 'porterz' didn't order, but was sent if you look at his photos. I forgot that you had a 250 as well.

The seat and the gas cap may be the same as those on porterz's Lifan G20-2. The engines have nothing in common, not even the spark plug.

Then engine on the 200 is the common 163 FML, also a Lifan clone.
