Unfortunately my Wife is afraid of the manual trans, or rather I am afraid of what she will do to a manual trans.

I believe these manual trannys are the same good old manuals used in motorcycles for so many years- they've just taken out first gear, and put reverse in it's place (no reverse on motorcycles). In all my research on these bikes before purchasing, I think I saw maybe one complaint about a tranny problem. I think it safe to say, that they are a tried and true bulletproof design. Ditto the motors. They should go back to making cars like this- with good old sturdy stuff that works and lasts! The simplest means of accomplishing something, will always be the most durable. Heck, they still haven't perfected the automatic transmission in cars! And plus I like the control of manual. |

Now I will be nervous for several days in fear that you won't post and I will wonder what happened to you. It has been nice hearing from you if your wife finds out. My wife has been in an especially good mood lately, so I wonder what is up. I know you all would like to know, and if I figure it out I will be sure to let you know. If it continues, I might be able to market the reason, maybe it is that soy milk she has been drinking.

I am self employed and I am swamped, I have the cardboard off but it is just sitting there. I am working about 19 hours a day and will be for a week yet. I will get back to you as son as I get it up and running.

And Tim said he'd have that bike on the website "this week" (this week is now officially over, and it is now "next week")...I wanna see if it has a provision for mounting a real trailer hitch- which turns out to be the v4sw's main drawback- there is no way to mount a substantial hitch (there's nothing to attach one to- that little loop on the back is a joke- and there is nothing to fasten anything to, that is substantial enough to pull anything more than a riding-mower trailer) |
