I found the PMC ECU for the 161QMK 169cc engine

PMC Racing

The price is a bit much for me consider seriously. Maybe some night after a few drinks I will see things differently

As mentioned earlier, I put an oil cooler on my Tank a while ago. I don't have good pics of the install right now but these are the parts I got:

Oil Cooler

Electric Fan

The cooler holds 125ml of oil plus the extra capacity of the lines so it gives me a good boost in the amount of oil. It attaches to the engine in place of the stock oil strainer and has a strainer built in to one of the lines. I wired the fan up to the battery going through a relay that is triggered from the headlight. This way, the fan will not run unless the engine is running. I also wired a switch inline that I mounted next to the ignition switch.

To make sure I had sufficient oil flow to push through the cooler I installed this super high flow oil pump that I got from eBay. It was a pretty simple install.

I mounted the cooler under the floor behind the battery and in front of the engine. The Tank has a pretty good area to accommodate this but it definitely took some work to get it situated.

The next time I have the plastics off I will try to get some better pictures.

I had the same thought. I found an oil cooler from Hyosung that supposedly fits a Hyosung GV250. It contains 250ml of additional oil + lines. The good thing is that I can add an oil filter to the flow and control the fan with a thermostat built into this radiator.
I need to look at your fan because the Hyo is a motorcycle that uses ram airflow while riding for cooling, which is hardly the case with a scooter.
The oil pump is a hit. I was concerned if the lil oil pump would support the larger oil-flow, and will def use this one.

I will not purchase a new ECU at this time, especially considering the cost. This ECU costs more than 20% of the scooter shipping price. The resale value of this scooter is around 600 USD (if you find a buyer).
In addition to the possibilities of adapting this scooter to the brand manufacturers, and the performance that comes with that, is higher than the new price of a Brand Name (like Piaggio Liberty), and in the end does still not reach the performance of a 150cc SYM, Piaggio, Vespa, Yamaha, Honda... .. have the certainty of having a full guarantee on "all" parts. In addition, you will not have any dealer support and are therefore limited to your neighborhood.
For a 3000-mile trip (SCB), the Vitacci scooter cannot provide the performance it needs without proper upgrades. That is a fact. You very quickly lose track of the actual costs when you upgrade after upgrade, and of course, I don't take into account the costs for the working time that this takes up.
For comparison: a standard 200 cc tank with the 169 cc EFI engine doesn't even reach the performance of the standard Piaggio Liberty 125 iS. Sorry if I hurt your feelings. I don't use a Piaggio 125cc because I like them, I compare the 125 Piaggio only because I have access to a new Stock 125 Piaggio.
The Piaggio Liberty 125 costs around $2500 and has the power of a Vitacci Tank 200 EFI after a big money upgrade to the Tank 200 EFI. That's sad.
That's why I won't improve anything further after 32 intake, injector, and performance exhaust. I expect that after the upgrades my Tank 200 EFI will match the performance of the 125 i Liberty. If not, other measures won't really help either.

I think young people on a tight budget should be careful about what they should buy. Some things that look cheaper aren't cheaper at all.
Of course, it depends on what you want to do with the scooter. If you only drive short distances and don't want to go over 50 mp/h, such a scooter is a good choice for them. BTW: 50 mph is nothing to sneeze at
But if you don't just need the scooter to play around, have more than 15 miles to commute one way, and possibly have to use freeways or roads with more than 50mph speed limit, you should think carefully about which scooter you buy.
Opinion off.

I 100% agree with you Picollo! If you need speeds over 50 mph without mods then this isn’t the scooter for you. My 2019 Honda PCX 150 got better performance when it was bone stock. The only way a Tank makes sense is if you have modest speed requirements OR you just want something cheap to mess around with. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone as a primary vehicle unless they are doing urban delivery or have a short commute on surface streets. I have 2 cars, 2 motorcycles and 2 other scooters as options if I need to get somewhere.

For me, I like modifying my bikes and the GY6 platform is a fun one to mess with. The EFI limits options but I hate messing with carbs. I’m happy to answer any questions I can for anyone that is considering a Tank.

Some people enjoy tinkering with their scooter and Chinese scooters are perfect for that. Tinkering with a Vespa can get pretty expensive.

If you’re digging into the oil pump make sure you have a right crankcase cover gasket on hand. You’ll also need a flywheel puller tool to get in there.

Oh – I’m not giving up on the tank. I'm addicted to tinkering with this thing now and want to make it a real 170i scooter.
But I'll say it again. The thing wasn't cheap. I paid $2,600 for the scooter, which was fully assembled, tested, and with a 1-year warranty. No joke.
I already spend over $400 on upgrades. So far it reaches 52 mph on flat roads and 54 mph in free fall, but feels lean when applied more than 2/3 throttle. Parts are coming.
But even if I get this scooter running like I wanted him to, I can't take the scooter any further than AAA transports it back to the house (just in case you know ...) because no one wants to work on these scooters and motorcycle repair shops won't accept them , if it's not a flat tire.
Well, I don't need the tank anymore. I ordered a Piaggio Liberty 150S for the SCB.
The Vitaccy stays in the family. We have a girl in the family who has to commute to nursing school every day 28miles one way. She said one man's trash is another man's treasure. And her mom smiled and said, I guess I only have to be a mom-taxi when it is to cold or wet.
I don't drive the scooter as a daily vehicle. I have 3 cars and a Truck, so my Motorcycles, 3+ of them at the moment, are just a hobby, fun.........
But my announcement to give the scooter to the girl rewarded me with a kiss on the cheek and a big ole NJ cheesecake. You can't beet that when jou are a 70y old retiree. LoL.

You are sure being appreciated. I guess many fall for the 60mph and 95mpg advertising and end up with 45-50mph and somehow 60mpg if you don't cross the 45 mark.
I guess I will be also asking you questions because you know more than I do about GY6 scooters.
Maybe I donate a Starbucks coffee. LoL.

Humm..... I don't think you have to tinker much with a Vespa, Piaggio, Honda, Yamaha, Kimco .... They all perform already in the showroom.
Well, if you would call it tinkering by attaching a windshield to the scooter.
But I hear what you're saying. True, the parts of a Chinese scooter differ in price, and if someone buys this scooter just to tinker with it, a Chinese scooter is not a wrong purchase.
But if the china scooter "at the end" is cheaper than a brand name scooter is debatable.

My second walk of shame with the tank 200 LoL
Today I want to drive, just around the house (luckily) Boing, the drive belt gave up on me.
Call the wife. She laughs on the phone... she asks, truck or trailer or both. She was skeptical about buying the Tank scooter from the beginning, she was betting on the Honda 160 adv and now something happens every time... "I told you so." hahahha....

The Belt was replaced 524miles ago. It was an Amazon:

That is not good at all! I'm glad your wife could come get you.

That's really strange that the belt failed so quickly. Maybe it was already really old when they sent it to you? I had a belt that failed after about 100 miles on a previous scooter of mine. Come to find out that it had been on the shelf at the scooter shop for almost 10 years by the time I bought it.
