This will be an interesting project. Not many building a featherweight ct70.

Great ad! Honda's advertising program was second to none.

Kicking my butt I didn't pick up that CT90 when I had the chance, I think it would have been a sweet bike with some TLC . Looking forward to hearing more about the free 70 Doc, how is it going? |

I'm going to look at it tonight after work! :P
I rode a 50 the other day at the airport. It was a VERY old tired one but went just fine. Heavy bastard for its size though. They built them solid back in the day.

I looked at it and passed.
No compression, does not run. Missing too many parts. I think it would have cost too much to get safe, running, and titled. I'll keep my eyes open for another one though. Maybe if i could fine a street legal clone.

Isn't it free? I'd be all over that.

Doesn't look too bad, especially if your plan was to put in a China motor, but I can't fault you for not hoarding

No front brake, rear brake frozen. No compression, oil leaks. No handlebar controls or incorrect ones (thumb throttle for instance). No electrical. No key (bypassed to toggle switch). Both tires flat, rims bent and dented. footpegs bent or missing. No title. seat foam turned to some amorphous solid. Forks bent and leaking. Rear suspension partially frozen in place. No air filter, leaky gas tank.
It looks better than it is in the pictures. This bike has sat abandoned alongside a barn in the desert for 6-7 years, and was ridden by kids all over the ranch for decades prior to that, seemingly with no maintenence. :( It might make a good parts bike, but even for free I think I can find a better starting place for my project. I'd like a more complete titled street legal bike with a ruined engine. Ripe for Chinapower. 8)
