I don't watch any of the Owl games, even the Superb Owl.

If Green Bay had been in the Superb Owl, I would have watched. But instead, my driveway got cleared. Twice.

Finally, my multi year quest for some essential, and affordable, spare parts has come to a fruitful end.
I went to an indoor motorcycle swap meet today. Quite small and majorly HD. I did find a die cast model of my 'sigh, someday' bike, a Moto Guzzi V7 for $10. I was just about to give up when I spied a radiator in a box. Took a good look at it and found a tag that said 'CX500'. Cool. I offered the seller $20 and he bit. I told him I was glad that I found at least one CX part and he said "There's more in the red box." So, I came home with the rad, a front caliper, aannnddd a complete and correct carb set, with the intakes. I love when the planets align.

Indeed! Good score on the parts. What was the damage for the entire haul?

I'm holding off on any rebuilding for the foreseeable future as I'm into week four of the Garage Clean Up From Hell and trying to make room for the Spider. And I am winning. At least I keep telling myself that.

I've decided that if I'm to make any progress in the shop, I'll need to take time off work for it. Right now, not winning.

Everything I learned about keep a garage neat and cleaned I learned from my Dad. He has so much crap, he has had to build more places to hide it.
BTW, the new to me Guzzi.

I was bored last week.
These cleaned up really well and turned out to be in better shape than the ones I have on the bike. Even the overflow tubes have no cracks in them. Rebuild kits should be here soon and will be replacing all the Phillips head screws with Allen head.

I like your fancy carb segregation unit.
X2 on Allen screws. I hope they strung up that lousy Phillips.

What kits did you buy?
Be very careful with the vacuum sliders, a slight nick in the polished surfaces will cause a problem, as will a bent or nicked needle. BTW There are no Phillips screws on Japanese motorcycles, only JIS. Problems arise when Phillips screwdrivers are used on JIS screws. |

I learned that the hard way, when trying to remove case bolts on an old Suzuki. I now have JIS impacts ready.
