casoli "racing gold CDI" 162fmj loncin.wiring prbl
I can put up photos if needed but i have a italika dm150 its almost the same engine/wires as zongshen/many others. i plug it in andnothing NOTHING for spark.
then i notice how cheap the plug is and im hoping that it was assembled wrong or something.I would rather now blow $50 on a ugly piece of scrap metal anyone with one of these ugly aluminum bricks that work? can you tell my what color wires on the CDI go to what color wires on the bike? Is there a easy way to test it?(i dont have many tools or pieces :( ) ============= ============= ============================ FYI the bike is doing great. a real worker. and these pushrod motors do great with 2 ppl(or maybe 5?.Fat torqe all around(untill itshakes to death ! :P ) ============================ |

Please do post photos; we would love to see your bike. Also, please post a link, or photos of the CDI unit.

My CB Guy has a CDI tester that has about a dozen different plug-ins for the different CDI's.
My Hondanoid started developing a roughness but still ran. I took the CDI to him and the osciliscope showed a definite breakdown. He tossed me another for nothing.....and let me keep the old one for an emergency backup...... Odds are, it's the standard Hondanoid CDI and it's toast, would be my guess. Not uncommon.
