DS 250s?

Has anybody heard of or found for sale a street-legal Chinese dual sport with 250ccs or more? I happen to like lots of power, especially off-roading, and 200ccs (in a heavy 4-stroke) just ain't cuttin it. I was even bored with my old Yamaha XT350. Lookin for a nice 500cc Chinese thumper!

Kinda nice looking, but not $3000 nice. Also, looks like these are the same engines that are used on most of the bikes many of us have, and if I remember correctly, the 250cc engine only had 2 - 3 more HP than the 200cc, so it really may not make much difference. I believe at this point, this is about the best it is from the Chinese Producers. Surely they will bring us a 400cc bike in the next 2 = 3 yrs, Hyosung a Korean Company has already done it.

Tank has a 250cc bike now. It looks like an enduro without the lights, so we should be seeing a "street" version soon. I have a link to a Tank retailer on Jetmotogroup if you want to poke around the site.

I asked Larry Hooper about larger displacement bikes in the pipe. He said that most of the world uses these for transportation which they are adequate for.

It might be awhile before we see anything much bigger than the 250s.

Apollo Orion also has a nice looking Dual Sport. Havent been able to find much out about it yet. however it looks to be a solid built machine. I dont know how hard it will be to register it for on road use but maybe someone here has some experience with it.
