Deal or no deal?

I recently responded to this ad and went as far as to go look at the bike. It was in a pretty sketchy area of Atlanta in a room of a warehouse where they had a towing business. The lady says 1200 includes tax and a helmet. It looks like a good deal but I can't help but feel unsure. Any advice?

Generic Hondoid/Lifanoid 200cc OHV but with a counterbalancer. $1,200 is about right, especially considering you are not paying shipping and can actually see the bike. The helmet may only be a $50 cheapie but it will get you started.

If you get it be sure to read the sticky called the Dual Sport Preparation Thread.

The difference may be the one in the pic has a counterbalancer, the bulge in the forward crankcase.

Good looking yellow bike.
Might be nice to get the one from the local dealer and hope they stay in business and provide parts/warranty/service. Also they might provide better help if you need it to tag the bike.

Yeah that's a good point although I have to admit that I've found a mint condition Yamaha dt 100 for a steal. It's getting pretty hard to decide

I would get the yamaha. Will hold its value.

That business his been advertising those bikes for awhile. Not going anywhere. If you you keep watching a good deal on a china bike will pop up.

Hey Kato, looked at the link-the bike looks like the Hensim but with a 200 instead of the 230?
