Hello from Michigan

Hi Folks,
I am Randy.
Age 44 from southeast Michigan.
I have a China 200cc enduro on order and will post my progress.
I have had 2 other bikes 1 very cool 1969 Triumph Tiger 100 (500cc Right side shifter and little pointer on the gearcase). You know who you are out there).
Bought it as a basket case when I was 15 and actually got it running and
rideable. Had to sell it believe it or not because of a grumpy neighbour where I used to live. Seems there was some fine print in the lease about motorcycles and undesirables. Darn it! My other one was a well worn
1983 Yamaha XT-500 which may well have been the heaviest and largest beast to ever prowl the trails of northern MI. It died of old age last year.
Thanks to all you guys because I am realizing that after you buy one of the China dual sport 200's your pretty much on your own as far as the seller is concerned. But I have noticed hardly anyone here buys them as a first bike so they can’t be all bad. And this boy has plenty of practice working on thumpers after nursing 13 years out of a used 10 year old bike.

Welcome Randy! I too have nursed many a sick bike back to health. The latest was a 1974 Yamaha TX500 DOHC twin that had sat 18 years. Sold it after getting it roadable to buy the scooter. Should have got me a Cool Boy I guess! Check your Private Messages.

Glad you are here. More experience to ask questions of.
What part of Southeast Michigan?
Down by Niles and the Hoosier boarder?

SonofsunL, welcome (officially). Wow, that "got me right there" reading about your lease and having to get rid of the Triumph. If that guy is still alive today, I am sure you can modify your exhaust on the SunL to really show him how undesirable you can be...
