i'd be willing to bet that they will all interchange. if you have to replace it why not go for a 250?

I am not sure how much, if any, difference it is, but I think the Viva's are Zongshen based. However, it seems that the Lifan's are far easier to get hold of, as there are several dealers on ebay selling them.
I don't know if he will price match, but Larry Hooper of Hooper Imports advertises engines on his site, which I think is: www.hooperimports.com

Hi msRandi
The Buy it Now Price: US $359.00 plus $94.00 shipping. That's not a bad price and it is an OHC {Overhead Cam Engine} not a Push Rod Engine. The engine in the auction is from the LF200(III) Sportbike. HooperPooper. Bruce

I'd say yall have the savvy to drop in about any motor you could find short of the one out of the Sporty!! With all the bikes on the Islands and the quantity of wrecks with said motorbikes, maybe you could find one local. There has to be a bike stripper there somewhere.

The Big island only has a population of less than 200 thousand not a lot in the way of wreakages here, they either end up in the jungle or smashed and shipped off island. We are looking at the motors on e-bay but shipping to hawaii is a bit more than the e-bay shipping price. We are supposed to hear from viva on monday and then will decide what to do from there. Seems like the motor may just have been under torqued and we may try regasketing if we have no luck with viva. They have been good in the past put with what we have heard from vivaniel and his swing arm bolt we are a little concerned. We shall see and let ha'll know.

Best of luck. Hopefully the warranty will go through for you. Although, it would be just as easy to pull the head and jug and replace the gasket as it would to replace the whole engine. Especially with the pushrod motor. A few simple tools and and a couple hours of work it should be good as new . Ride on................
