Gas tank range of Lifan 200GY5 before going to reserve
Hi,
I am new here and love excellent info on this site. Just wonder on a full tank how many KMS or Miles can a Lifan 200GY5 go before the hitting reserve. Approx how many KMS or Miles on reserve if anyone tried it ? Regards, Miin |

It's been so long since I had mine I can't remember anymore 8O I *think* I may have made it back to Abbotsford from Princeton on a tank, but it's possible I stopped at Hope to refuel, sorry I can't recall for certain... I'm sure someone will be able to help, quite a few gy riders here...

When I first got my bike and JUST rode it to work, I was getting about 250 - 300 miles to a fill up, which is about 2.5 gallons. Acutally I didn't even have to switch to reserve at any point. I doubted the distance so I measured the distance in my car and it was accurate.
To answer the other half, I've never driven on reserve until empty, so I guess that's not really much help is it? |

Wow that is crazy 250-300 miles to a tank before reserve. That is like 400-500KMS to a tank. Thanks for the tip.

I was getting around 160 miles before hitting reserve and could do about 30-40 more on reserve. Actually ran it dry once with a small gas can strapped on the back. Just had to know how far a tank would go. It was better before I made the changes. Bill |

Hi
my GY5 odometer is in KMs even though the speedo is in Miles. I generally fill up every 200kms - this is before reserve. Frog |

I find that I get an easy 300 Km's per tank on my 2006 pushrod GY5. I have never had to go on reserve. A fill-up usually takes between 7-8 litres after approx 300 Km's of riding. According to my owners manual, the fuel tank capacity is 10.5 litres

Good to hear you some of you guys are getting over 300 kms = 200 miles before hitting reserve. I guess now have to find time to give it a try. Also surprise to see so many Greater Vancouver folks are on member of this site.
