hi all from hartwell ga

have a 2007 lifan 200cc sport that was given 2 me! got to love it I work on old hondas in the driveway and get free bike offers all the time. this one only took 2hrs to get running. I ride it more than I rode my 1972 cb750 with 836 kit hard tail and 4into2 3in outlet straight pipes.

hope I can help answer some questions

Welcome!

Good score on the Lifan! I'd love to see some pics, along with pics of your CB750 hard tail. I'm a Honda guy mostly, so I'm sure I'll have questions.

Welcome! Always great to attract knowledgeable people here so myself and W&G can stop faking knowing something.. oh wait, that would be me faking it and him knowing it.

Welcome aboard . Can't beat a free bike! The Honda sounds pretty wicked as well... 4 into 2 straight pipes? Bet it wakes the neighbors up

Awesome score! Thanks for the vid (I'd still love to see your hard tail ). I'm not sure that I would bother painting that bike, but if you do, I agree that some well-placed black would compliment the bike without spraying the wheels (think of the old Nighthawks). You could black out most of the lower body work and spray everything that's not blue right now.

Alternatively, you could experiment with the naked bike look, and see what it's like without the bodywork and maybe one large round headlight and small LED signals. Just a thought.

Cool looking bike! And even started on the first kick, I think you did very well. What was wrong with it when you got it?

I agree with WG regarding the paint and/or fairing removal. The headlights look great! Do they illuminate the road as well as they seem to? The instrument cluster is excellent; the fuel gauge is a very nice feature. You got a wonderful bike for the best possible price; free!
