Re introducing myself

Hello everyone,

Over the last couple weeks, there has been a few developments in regards to myself and my company. I own a Sales Agency(BDI Agencies) that represents various companies that are in the "Recreation" industries...like Saga Canada.
I have been approached by the owner of Konker to see if my company would be interested in representing their "Pit Bike " and "ATV" line to dealers in Atlantic Canada and I have accepted the contract. The previous representatives from Mini Motors have decided to close there doors... and leave me the pieces to pick up and fix..thats another story.

I know..the big question. Isn't there a conflict of interest between the Saga 250cc Enduro and the KSM200? Yes and No and here is why:

Yes they are both Enduro/Motard vehicles but no they are very different:

1) 250cc vs 200cc
2) Enduro vs Motard
3) 2 yr warranty vs 1yr
4) $2499 vs $2999
5) Dealer Margins..

My responsibility as a Sales Agency is to provide unbiased options to the dealer/customer and at the end of the day it is up to the customer to choose what is best for his clientele and his investment. I will not represent the Lambretta scooter line.

If you have any questions about Saga Canada or Konker Motors let me know and I will try to provide an answer.

Maybe now is a good time to change your screen name.

The Konker product seems to be very solid, and they appear to be on the higher end of the quality scale. I really like the Suzuki clone they offer.

Yes, given the narrow price difference I would probably opt for the Konker(Qingqi)... The last year I saw Saga at the bike show I was told $32something, but then they didn't have Konker to compete with... Now that they've lowered their prices it is more competitive, and the Saga looks to be a good bike too.

There is no way that he can change his user name I believe, but he could request that Frostbite do it for him.

Sorry to hear about Mini Motors. I bought my Lifan from then in '06. They were the best dealer experience I've had in Fredericton.

Hey Brad,

Sounds like you have a very interesting job! I'm intrigued at how you got started in something like that.

If you ever expand to the Wet Coast, I'd be interested in speaking with you. I might be looking for a job soon. 8O

I was only kidding about the screen name.

I'm looking forward to learning about the new products that you'll carry.

Well Turbo..its tough starting out if you have no background in the industry. My background was in snackfood(DM for Humpty Dumpty Chips) and was laid off when Old Dutch bought the company.
I grew around bikes...my brother owns Riverglade motorcross park which holds the 7th round of the CMRC Nationals every year and I have numerous friends that work for Parts Canada,Motovan(and he is the Pitster Pro Rep)Honda and so on...so I decided take the leap and so far it pays the bills. Its tough going at first but now I get about 10-15 manufactures a year calling me to see if Im interested in representing there line. Or I go after some I want...I'm currently in negotiations with BOSS Accessories.

I worked for 4 months without making a penny and then....my first check arrived......for $134.20....best day ever! then went 2 more without anything then another check....$3789.50 and the rest is history.

Brad

If I get that big I will let you know...

I'll be out of work in about 6-8 months, and I was considering something similar to what you're doing. If you have a few things on the go at once, you don't have all your eggs in one basket, and even though you're not getting rich, you can still find a way to pay the bills.

Like I said...factories are looking for people..

If anybody wants me to send the ones I pass let me know. It's not that I dont want to carry them it may not fit within my portfolio
