Saw a china bike and am interested.... How much to offer>

Never owned a bike, but today I saw a 2006 Tank Vision R3 with 2684 miles. It was silver and clean. Easily a 9.5 out of 10 condition wise. He was asking $1900 OBO. I am considering a purchase, but need help. What should I offer? Is there anything I should know or look for?

I would not pay half that for it. Fair price may be about $800.

I own an R-3 and can tell you that is way too much.

one thing these china bikes are good at is heavy price depreciation but if you look at what you pay new that isnt so bad.

So a bike that is three years old with all the paperwork handled, I'd shoot him around 900 for it. And not a shilling more.
