KTM restructuring in "self administration"
Sometime last week, KTM went into something called self administration. This might be equivalent to a bankrupty chapter, but I do not know the details.
I sold my 250SX days before the event, possibly avoiding a drop in valuation. This will be a major blow to KTM owners for various reasons. CF Moto affiliation (the MT bikes) will presumably dissolve, and those bikes may also suffer devaluation. Maybe not since they are manufactured by CF Moto. So I won't go into the reasons I've been hearing how this happened, but at least one thing is apparent. Chinese competition is now having a major affect on Japanese and European brands. There were other reasons in this case, but I think we can now expect some additional industry-wide shake up. Explained restruction law (copy and edit 3ws to www) 3ws.jonesday.com/en/insights/2010/12/the-austrian-chapter-11-restructuring-proceeding-with-self-administration-under-the-new-austrian-insolvency-code

I don't think CF Moto would dissolve, that's a separate joint venture under a different business in China of which they own %51 of. I do think European distribution would be hurt considering KTM took over that in January of 2023.

I did NOT say that CF Moto would dissolve. I said the relationship ("affiliation" in my post) between CF Moto and KTM will dissolve (even if KTM emerges from bankruptcy and survives). I suspect KTM WILL survive with new ownership after reorganization.
The MT 450 is just one example created since 2018, when KTM and CF Moto entered their partnership. More recently, with Yamaha, which will probably also dissolve. CF Moto has an independent line besides these bikes, and won't "dissolve". Yamaha is probably even more durable with many establish lines besides motorcycles.
