Hawk X 250 Throttle Free Play II

So my 2024 Hawk arrived with 3/4 of an inch of free play in the throttle. There was so much free play that (1) the adjusting threads to the throttle cable were no where long enough to make up the difference; and (2) there was so much slack in the cable that the bike would not idle - it would literally stall out if I didn't maintain some hand & wrist pressure on the throttle to keep the revs going.

This week I've been talking to a company in Florida called Venhill. http://venhillusa.com

They will make custom cables (of any kind, actually) and I just sent them my existing throttle cable with markings for where the throttle end barrel should be.

To access the throttle cable I removed the side panels and gas tank. Sure is an opportunity to tighten up bolts and screws.
