Hawk 250 Gas Tank Swap?

I have a 2019 Hawk 250 that has developed a gas leak on the tank where the petcock sits. The gas gauge is also not working. I've been thinking about trying to replace the entire tank, and maybe going with a plastic tank. Maybe one where I could see the fuel level without a gauge. Has anyone ever swapped out the tank on a hawk?

There's a chance that your tank is leaking around the sending unit gasket. It's worth checking anyhow. I guess the unit itself could leak as well, like around the wires. I know that some people make their own gasket.

I JB Welded all around the threaded nipple where the petcock attaches and it appears to have stopped the leak. I'm still interested in trying a plastic tank, but the only ones I can see that look like they'd swap over without any modifications are only 3.5 liters and look like there would be an awkwardly large gap between the tank and the front of the bike. Does anyone have any thoughts on a good plastic tank that could be used on a Hawk?
