I am tired of looking and I have settled on a 08 LF200 GY5.
I will be purchasing it from Maxextreme.net. I'll fill you in on more as available. Jay |

OK, I just sent 1449.00 to Brian Mays at motoxtreme.net for a new 2008 Lifan GY-5. With this being a holiday weekend I am sure he will not start the shipping process until Tuesday.
I'll post more later. |

Update - I had a long conversatin with Brian from motoxtreme.net. He stated that my 08 LF200GY should arrive in 10 - 12 business days. Man am I excited!!! I knew that if I ever got back into riding again that I would be eaten up with it...my bike is not here and I am already planning rides!
In college I had a 85 BMW K100 and averaged 35,000 miles a year for a three year period...corbin seat and I am good to go. Anyway thanks for reading my gibberish. I will post more as it comes. BTW, Brian is a class act and I highly recommend motoxtreme.net, and no I am not paid to say that. |

The 08 GY5 is pretty well setup from the factory with a 17/46 gearing.
I think you will be happy with the bike. Still plan to go over every inch of it and then plan your mods. Allen

Also is there a Haynes or some type of shop manual for these bikes? |

No manual available yet. That is why you are here.

Welcome Jay,
This is a great forum and help is just a "click" away. Even though I have a little less than 900km's on my A.L.200GY-5, I could not be more pleased with mine. What part of the country are you from? |
