Finally an owner
Well after looking at them for 8 years or so thinking they are intriguing I finally ordered a 2022 hawk. I have been riding every kind of bike for 30 years, I currently own a road glide, a Softail, an 85 it200 and an 82 Husqvarna wr430 but have had moden mx bikes and Enduro s as well in the past. I wanted something somewhat mellow and fun to tinker with so the hawk was an obvious choice. I may upgrade to a Templar in a year or two but I wanted to start on a proven model.

Awesome. Join me on the Dark side. Muahahahaha.
The Hawk is a great bike if you like to tinker around. I am the same way. It also makes kind of a fun cheap second bike, and is a bit of a blank canvas. I am on my third round of goofing around with mine in terms of reinventing it to serve a purpose as well as just something fun to do.

Sounds like you have a few mods lined up for it already. Hopefully you have some proper fork oil to go with those preload adjusters. May as well get that taken care of from the start as well. Maybe grab a bottle of blue loctite to go with it if you haven't already lol.

I do have some fork oil going a little thicker, I will be upgrading the rear shock too sooner rather than later. In case anyone is wondering the carbed hawks come with preload adjustable shocks now. I didn't receive a battery with it though. Txpowersports has been emailed and one is supposed to be on the way.
