Cold and Wet

This winter has been cold and wet everywhere it seems. I'm a snowbird in AZ, and this winter has been ridiculous. Yesterday afternoon we were having drinks on the patio, and friends from Saskatoon had to wear parkas. Right now it's below 40F and it snowed in Scottsdale yesterday. Climate change indeed.

Winter in the Chicago area has been, 'Meh'. Not enough snow to enjoy and the temp roller coasters. Wednesday was a balmy 56F. Today, mid thirties and maybe snow. 7" predicted yesterday for today. That's changed to maybe a half inch if it doesn't turn to rain. Fifties and sun tomorrow.

I still won't put the snowblower away until late April.

I have a picture of myself at age 3 and my brother in a foot of snow, in 1986... in Tuscon.

Not that unheard of.

A pasty white strawberry-blonde boy born in Yuma. That's more unusual than Arizona getting snow.

Spent yesterday afternoon on the tractor clearing the driveway to the street so we could get the Ranger out. More snow this weekend. I'm only at 3000' elevation. We may get a couple inches, twice a season. Now it's in feet. If I hear one more Californian say, "Well, we need the water.", you're going to witness on old, fat, Italian go all Rambo on him.

After absolutely roasting through 90° temperatures and incredibly powerful sun like you have in Arizona, except a little more powerful, I would have to disagree. Lol

It has been so damn hot in Florida.

Hoping for the temperatures to break soon.

No, seriously it sucks down here. It’s been 90° for days. Sweating my ass off. The weather is not good. It’s bad.

At least if you are a little cold you can put on a jacket or a hoodie or something. Some wool socks. You can control it. But when it’s too hot? You can’t even control it. All you can do is try to douse yourself with some water or turn on generators and air conditioners. It’s not fun.

I’m going to bed right now sweating my ass off. Completely naked. No covers. And way too hot. Not that you want a picture of some random guy naked. But seriously. That’s how hot it is. It sucks. It absolutely sucks. I would trade places with anyone.
