Hawk 250 nibbi carb / air cleaner issue

Anyone had this happen.
Replaced stock carb with nibbi p30y, before put cold air on started and tuned ran great.

Put an after market cone filter on and bike bogged down and didn’t have any power.

Took it off and ran fine again.

So it seems the aftermarket cold air has something crazy that actually restricts the flow and doesn’t let enough air through.

Anyone had this happen?

Literally everybody has had that happen .You have to jet the carb with the air filter you want to run installed ,exhaust too if you are swapping it out .All those components effect each other with tuning

Same happened to me. True 250cc big piston kit in my Magician 250, installed a 28mm Nibbi and dyno tuned with no intake, ended up with a 45 pilot. After I installed an intake it wouldn't idle right...unscrewed the air screw until it almost fell out. Dropped to a 40 pilot and 1 turn out and it idles perfect.
