Anyone know the actual curb weight of the Icebear Champion 125?
I've seen a few different numbers online. 265 is the most common, but some say lower 200s. Even seen one that said 178. Im thinking it's fairly light, and 265 seams high for that bike to me. The honda monkey is 230ish lbs. I have to load the bike into buses by myself, and would be willing to fork out the extra money for the honda monkey for that one reason alone. Anyone able to get an accurate weight? Wet weight preferably... If it is lower 200s, I'll buy one.

One site I went to claims a wet weight of 220 lbs. That seems about right.

I suggest you join the 'Dax CT70 ST70' group on Facebook (but, I know some people do not like Facebook). https://www.facebook.com/groups/1526951340896237
One of the members there owns Cajon Maddogs out of New Orleans, a dealer selling all kinds of Icebear bikes, among other brands, and he answered your question about weight, and gave me other dimensions, too. Dimensions(in inch) Assembled(LxWxH): 65x22.6x39, Crated(LxWxH): 53 x18 x33, Seat height:29.1, Wheel base:41.8 Weight(net/gross/capacity) 154/220/312 lbs weight capacity 312 lbs He linked his dealership and they have a very good deal on the bikes . I suggest you get hold of the guy, Alan Adams, and ask him questions. He has sold numerous bikes to members of the Dax group, and is a very hands on member, and will back his bikes up. And no, he does not pay me https://www.cajunmaddogs.com/product...l6kJ3_qi001iww

I like how Ice Bear used a few nostalgic colors for their bike, and even altered the font on the 'Champion' sticker to look a bit vintage. I would have a difficult time deciding on the lime color or light blue color, personally. But, I would even take the black or white one.

That's what I saw too on another site. IDK why net weight is 154 lbs but gross is 220. Usually the difference is just fluids, which might be like 15 lbs of gas/oil for this bike.

Perhaps air in the tires, too? Even then, not sure how there is a 74 pound difference?

Got a response from another member: "I think my MCO said 167# which seems to be in line with what Alan posted and what it feels like when I lift the bike." Still does not answer the question exactly, but from someone who owns one and has lifted his up.
I think these should fit the bill, so to speak. The Honda would be a solid bike, obviously, and is a bit larger, but considering the clones are in the under $2k range vs. over $4k for the Honda, I would lean more towards these or the Amigo Rocky 125 (OEM is Boom/Baodiao) bike (that one is 4-speed fully manual).

The extra weight of air pressure would be measured in ounces, not pounds.
Now I'm thinking that net is the bikes' actual weight, and gross is shipped in its container.

The 'shipped' weight would definitely make sense here.

One more answer from the Facebook Dax CT70 ST70 group: "Someone weighed theirs with full fuel, 120/90 tires, different carb and exhaust as many are ridden. I think I recall the number being 17x lbs. Based on handling mine I think that number is just about right."

Just now weighed mine and got 190lbs even.
It was on a bathroom scale but it weighs me accurately enough. with Full gas tank, and oil, with a "postie bike" front rack (3lb), and 2 honda passport baskets (1lb 9o ea.) a Schwinn bicycle phone mount (3oz), an oem air cleaner assembly off an ST90 (heavier than the plastic cone type) Shinko 421 tires which I would think are a few ounces heavier than the stock scooter tires. So afaik 190lbs. J Side note: Does anyone know if the stock rubber inlet would help with high rpm sputtering? Last edited by superduder; 06-25-2022 at 09:27 PM. Reason: added information |

Awesome answer, thank you, and that sounds about like what I would expect of these bikes |
