Lifan KPX 250

A few of us have shown an interest in this new bike, as in it specs out to be pretty impressive. My dealer locally is a true badass, really wanting to earn folks business. I've bought from him before, knew I wanted one, all is well. Calls me today, I'll have it here in my yard next month, probably towards then end I'd say. I love Lifan stuff, this new bike really looks impressive. May have to start a Lifan collection Great warranty, product, and pricing. Stuff is very well built.... Who's on board for the new 250?

Lifan

I believe Lifan should provide you a KPX 250 for promotional purposes, because you have earned it way and above, (read sales here) gone out of your way to promote their products for at least several years I am aware of, especially the X-Pect. The X-Pect Backroad Development thread is a testimony to that fact and I believe has contributed measurably to sales. Lifan, do the smart business right thing!

I'm interested in just about anything Lifan does! I can't wait to hear more about the KPX 250!

Lifan KPX 250

I can attest the Lifan KPX 250 is on its way. I have a red one reserved at my nearest dealer. Price is $2995 with free pick-up and I assume tax, title, registration, etc, but no mention of dealer prep, document fees, or any of the other $500+ fees Honda charged when I bought my Navi. This is the perfect bike for me. I couldn't find an air cooled 250 dual sport with better specs at any price, much less under $3,000. If it's anything like the X-PECT, it will be a great bike, just with 6 speeds instead of 5, about 55cc bigger, more horsepower, disc brakes front and back, inverted front shocks (yes, they are inverted, I confirmed), and a much more modern gauge cluster and ignition (instead of the ignition the X-PECT shares with the Hawk bikes). I will post a photo when I get mine.

First time I looked at the KPX250, looks awesome and 20hp! With Lifan quality that ought to be a big seller

I wouldn't mind a super motard version (lower seat, smaller wheels). Even at 5'11", that's a tall saddle!

Definitely worth checking out, tho.

A little bit of information in there I found kind of nice. Not sure if the US version will have the inverted forks. I hope so, but I can live with standard. The Alloy swing arm bit has my attention for sure. I just wish they would also toss in alloy rims instead of the steel ones as well.

Direct swap? Not likely. This engine is part of the newest generation of OHC architecture so there are some small changes in mount locations. If you are willing and able to do some minor fabrication then it is possible. I think I would just save myself the headache and sell my xpect and buy this new bike.

So I am looking at getting a new KPX this weekend, and just had these last few questions.
1. Is the motor a Zongshen?
2. is the battery Lithium?
3. Can It be lowered?
