Ticks

I grew up with Wood Ticks. During the summer months as a kid, we were sort of like monkeys checking each other over before bed time. Maybe we'd find a full one on the dog. It was the times.

Fast forward 60 years. Mrs. C spotted a Wood Tick crawling up the dogs' tail yesterday after he and I tramped through the woods.

OH. MY. GOD. She went apesh!t. She spent hours online reading up on ticks and how to deal with them. Did I mention woods? Now I have to treat the yard. I had to give Buster a bath. I have to plant Lavender, Mint and probably Basil.

For one lousy tick.

We live in the woods and are loaded with deer ticks certain times of year. We have Spot on Nextguard. A once a month chew. She has yet to have a tick or flea that we can find on her, us or furniture.
Chewy.com contacts our vet for the scrip and auto-ships to us 6 month supplies. Easy-peasy.

When I was in the Marines, in Virginia, one guy got a tick in his ear. He was trippin everywhere!

That was my plan with the Troy-bilt tractor but, so far, she hasn't bought into it.

Same here.
I grew up rural, my wife not so much.
When we finally got out of suburban hell and back out into the country my wife went nuts when she saw her first tick.
A few years later, a 6 month treatment for the dogs, and it’s all old hat to her now.
The ol’ lady has come a long way lol.
