Hawk dlx brake lights staying on
So I just received my hawk dlx about a week or so ago, but havent had a chance to ride it since it's rained on all my days off.
I have noticed an issue though...when I turn the key on, the brake lights come on and stay on. Has anyone else had this issue, and could it be the brake light switch is hooked up wrong? |

might be a dumb question but did you try to tinker with the plastic nut on the adjustment that the little spring connects to? If it is too tight it will cause the light to stay on.

Oh man....no, that wasn't a dumb question. The question is, how could I have not thought to look at that? Somebody installed both the nuts on top of that bracket instead of one above and one below, so it was way to high. Thanks. I'm sure this will be only the first of many obvious things I'll miss and ask about. |

It happens, the most seasoned veterans overlook stuff and usually it's the simplest stuff.
I hear you on the rain also....I haven't been in a hurry to get my hawk back together because it's been cold (snowed here a week ago) and now it's gonna rain for the next 10 days. Might build an ark instead of a dirt bike.
