Thumb throttle

Anyone converted a Hawk from a twisty to a thumb throttle? Arthritis in my hands and right wrist makes longer rides on the Hawk unenjoyable. Thumb style on an atv doesn’t bother me.

Wondering if anyone has converted one successfully and if so what kit did you use?

Thanks in advance for any assistance

I dont know specifically for this conversion, but on the polaris sport quads the honda trx90 thumb throttle was a popular conversion and the parts on ebay were cheap. You might look at those.

Hmm... I'm not sure if that's a good idea on a bike. Off road might not be a problem, but on the street could be a different matter altogether. But, I am thinking of things as a sport bike rider, and not just commuting.

There's that cramp buster part that clips onto the throttle. Try giving that a shot before converting to thumb throttle.

Why would it be an issue on the street vs off-road?

I have mild carpal tunnel in my right arm. I picked up a Cramp Buster for my TT250. So far it has provided over 300 miles of pain free riding. I like it so much that I'm thinking about installing one on my wife's TT250. :-)
