428/128 vs 428 /132 chain

I am getting ready to order the Niche gold chain for my bone stock Brozz 250. I notice that the 428/132 chain is around $10 cheaper( $29.00)than the 428/128 ($39.00). Which chain would you recommend ?

If you have a chain break you can buy the longer chain and save some money. Thats how I saved aboutn20 bucks on my 520 DID x ring chain

Thanks . I looked again, and the price was $10 difference instead of $5, so I think I will order the $29.00 132 link. If a person is careful with an angle grinder could that also be an acceptable method of shortening the chain ?. I would even be willing to do it with a file considering the savings.

If it was something I was going to do on the regular or had more than 1 motorcycle chain breakers don't appear that cost prohibitive.

I went ahead and ordered it . Ebay gave me a $10 coupon, so with tax I have just a little less than $22.00 in it. http://

Same chain that I got for my Brozz, I have a chain breaker and plan to bring it down to 128. Wish I shopped around better, I paid 47 for my chain.

The one you ordered will be fine.
I had no idea that they were that close in price. I ordered the Niche Gold because it seems popular, and we'll liked. If I need to replace it one day, I now know to look at D.ID. brand.

Upfront cost is higher for a good X ring chain like D.I.D. but in the long run a good chain is cheaper and less hassle.

Don't break it down any lowered than 130, or you may not be able to use it. I cut mine down to 128, and it's too short. I will be trying to turn lemons too lemonade, and order a 42 tooth rear sprocket.

I always mock the chain up before cutting it down. I have used an angle grinder punch and hammer for decades on dozens of bikes. Grind the tips of the two pins off on the link you want to remove then put it on a chunk of 2x4 and punch the center pins. Takes me about 3 minutes to do.
