How many miles/km do you currently have

I am new to the site and I just purchased a 200GY and I want to know about how many miles I can expect before the bike self-destructs. Mine only has 77 miles on it so far but I hope to get at least 7000 miles out of it.

What do you think, is it possible?

Mine had less than 1000 kms, with 2 engines, before I gave up, but I seem to be the exception.

It depends on which brand GY200 you have. Seems like a lot of the Lifans have gone down with tranny issues. Not too much engine trouble though. Fatboy250 has a Roketa just like mine with over 13000 miles on it and no big issues. My Roketa has a little over 2000 miles and going strong. The Roketas are running a Zongshen OHC engine that appears to be pretty bullet proof. Wich China's lack of quality control, it's kinda a crap shoot. Maintain it well, and don't beat the snot out of it, and chances are you'll get a lot of miles out of it.

It's funny when I started putting things together. The way I see it...all the GY-2 bikes are exactly the same. The only thing that is changed from distributor to distributor is the engine. So go with the thought that I'm buying the engine! Because they are not all the same. I've used Lifan and Jetmoto parts on my Roketa. You essentially have the rear drum and conventional front fork family and the rear disc and USD fork family. Plastics even tend to resemble each other for that matter. If there are any outside of this grouping they seem to be in the minority.

This only makes sense. I know the Chinese do this with scooters too. Mass production of the chassis and body work, then sell to the "engine" manufactures to put their engines in. SMART

260km, The knob for my odometer reset fell off and the cover for the gas tank key slot is gone to. Other than that no problems.

about 3,500 miles on 200cc Roketa OHV. New tire, clutch plates, battery, wheel, and a bunch of zip ties holding it all together.
