Is This Really a 200 cc?

Hey, y'all.

I'm still in my search for my next set of 2 wheels and came across this:

https://extreme-scooters.com/shop/di...0cc-mc-enduro/

Does anyone have any info on this? Built well? Is it really a 200 cc? I can't seem to find any real info...even on Roketa's website.

Would make a great bike to mod out!

Thanks!

Looks like a CG200 engine with a balance shaft. That's my 2cents.

Groovy! Yeah...I'm trying to find the exact cc's of the engine...probably a 196. It claims to put out 250 cc hp (14.2)...hmmm...

I'm trying to do some research.

It's either a cg200 or cg250 with a balance shaft. Hard to say just by going of the photo dimensions. The rocker cover looks to be a pushrod OHV.

If they suggest 14hp and 250cc its more than likely a CG250 nominal with and actual 229cc capacity.

It’s a cg200 196cc and the Hp is correct about 13,8 hp at 8000 rpm, while the 250 (229cc) make about 15 hp at 7000 rpm

They list Bore*stroke as 63.5mm*62.5mm. I used an engine displacement calculator and it came up with a displacement of 197.93cc

I'm not sure that's still available. Looking closer at the site, it appears that it hasn't been updated since 2018. I'd at least call them and make sure, before making a payment that's difficult to reverse. For my money, if you're looking to spend around that much, I'd look at a Hawk or a TBR7.

This thread brings up the long, sad tale of AZhules dealing with the 'Manny' owned companies out of Texas, including TXPowersports (why we generally steer people away from them).

These older Bashans were brought back by Peace Motorsports in the form of the Bashan Motomax 250 late last year and earlier this year--a motard-style bike, that had the counter-balanced Bashan engine. The new ones even had the 'Will' stickers like these older 200cc ones sold via Roketa. As the thread showed, this was the long, sad tale of AZhule's dealing with 'Manny'. But, in the end, he sorted out the bike and did end up with a bike that tops out over 80 mph on some of the downhill highways in Colorado (GPS verified). And he did have the 200cc version...

I have heard of displacement deception with some of the Taiwanese 200 scooters, but not with Chinese dual sports.
The current Kymco HD200 is only 171cc or so. Same with SYM and Lance scoots.

Most every '250' is a 223 or 229. The few '200' Chinese scooters have displacement in the same ranges as the Kymco. Most notable is the Jass trike. Also, the quads that use the GY6 engines claim '200' and are really. 16x cc or 17x cc. Fake News permeates all nationalities of bikes

Appreciate the responses.

Yeah..my Bandit 1200 is actually 1157 cc! Although there is a stroker kit that will take it up to 1203 cc (with a HUGE bump in HP/torque).

I'm probably gonna wait a couple of months before buying something...just trying to see what's out there.

Yeah..the TBR7 is on the shortlist.
