You are actually the first person I recall here on Chinariders with broken handlebars! Not that it couldn't happen, but bent rims and levers, or shifters are far more common. Where in AZ are you?

Do they not come with a crossbar...?
Even my BMX when I was 9 had a crossbar on the handlebars. I mean sure the CT and clones (with the folding bars) don't have one, but the fixed bar option did. Glad you're okay, that looked like one heckuva ride too. J |

i usually bend the shift or clutch lever. Bar Brozz comparison (lower bar) to Tusk bar. I've never had a complete failure of the bar thank goodness.
