Big Problem with Hawk DLX 250 CC and NJ DMV
DMV does not want to register HAWK LY 250-5 DLX EFI. The VIN start with LC4
They said its not in the 2018 roster that is contantly updated. Need some help and guide how to get it register please. |

Get a Tao Tao TBR7 for New Jersey. They are on the list and they are cheaper.
Best bet is likely to put the Hawk on a PA Facebook ad for sale. That is the reason I did not get a Hawk, I spoke to the DMV and they told me the same thing. You are SOL in New Jersey for that bike. |

When will NJ get around to getting that bike on their list? It is clearly showing on the latest EPA/DOT 'On highway motorcycle' list as being certified in 49 states (Californians need not apply).
One dealer, https://www.superiorpowersports.com/, actually has a few Chinese dual-sports listed as being not for sale to California (no duh! ), as well as NJ and PA. They only sell the carbed Hawk and not the DLX so there is no reference for that particular bike, but just wanted to bring up the point that some bikes might not be registerable in 3 states. You might want to sell the DLX into NY where they will register them. There is the possibility of going the Vermont route for plating it...
