That's RON, which is usually around 4-6 points higher than what we use in the US (RON+MON)/2. You're fine with 87 octane US.

I watched a show the other day where a guy traveling around the world on an R1 was filtering gas through a tee shirt as it went into his tank. He was somewhere in Asia.

You should be OK with American regular grade in your china-bike. We actually baby them too much.

Here in Oklahoma we have a choice of 87 octane with ethanol or 3 grades without. I've been using the 91 octane in all my bikes and sxs with no issues. When your only buying 3 or 4 gallons at a time the cost is minimal.

Yeah, you can run 87 with no issue in these bikes, or even 85 at high altitude. The hard part is finding a station that has ethanol free 87. If you ride regularly the ethanol stuff is fine, but will become an issue if you store the bike for a couple of weeks and then ride it for an hour before putting it up again for a couple more weeks. The E10 stuff doesn't like being stored for very long.

I just run 91 because it is the only easy source of ethanol free fuel at any gas station around me and the cost difference to fuel up is a matter of maybe a dollar, at most. With my current bike having the compression bumped up it is also a matter of precaution, but honestly I am fairly certain it could still run 87 and be just fine thanks to the very conservative ignition timing.

Trust the manual. The Hawk 250 manual states the same 40psi rear and 32psi front for it's pressures on the stock tires. Just keep in mind that those are maximum pressures for on-road use with a fully loaded bike. The actual pressure you need to run will likely be less than that if it is just you and no luggage or passenger. I used to run about 36psi rear and 30 front on my Hawk with the stock tires, as I found it was the best for just me on the bike (big guy).
