NOT California Dreaming!

I will start off by saying I have no idea how to link to here, but there is a place to open up an Excel document and look at the EPA off-road certification (all kinds of vehicles such as quads, side x sides, dirt bikes, etc)as well as the EPA/DOT 'on highway motorcycle' certification list. They get updated every few months, with the latest iteration the end of January. If you know how to open them up, and scroll over for all the details, please do. If not, I will try to explain. It lists a bike from Apollo, and has the details of said bike. It looks like it will use a 223cc engine with the OEM being Zongshen. I believe the old engine was a 229cc Zongshen. Well, one of the columns states its intended sales market. Many bikes will have '49' or '49 + CA' or '50'. Most Chinese bikes state 49. Well...the Apollo states '50'!! As you scroll to the right it has a section of all the models certified and one is the common '36' there is another model with a designation '41'. Keep in mind we oftentimes don't see the other model(s) in the US; heck there have been bikes certified that never make it here, but from what I can tell, the 2020 Apollo is 50 state street legal although it will have to be CARB certified as well, and there is a different California CARB website, and so far the Apollo has not been on it. But, this might be one more low-cost Chinese motorcycle available in California. Keep your fingers crossed!

Edit: these are the two models listed: RX36C, RXF41A My guess is the 36 is the same bike we already have and the 41 will never materialize. Also, it does state it will use a carburetor, which is interesting if they really are trying to enter the California market.
