New Member from Phoenix

Greetings Y'all,

I just ordered a 2019 2019 Fuel Injected RPS Hawk DLX 250 after riding my roommates moped. It reminded me of riding my ninja 250 back in the day. I needed something more of a trail use that's why I went for the dual sport.

Any recommendations or thoughts on how should I proceed? Planning to take some motorcycle safety classes just to refresh the basics of riding.

All advice is appreciated. Really scared of car drivers here in phoenix but hopefully ill never run out of trails

Merry X'mas/ Happy Kwanzaa/ and Happy New year in advance.

Welcome to here! We have several Phoenix area members, and even had a group ride last month from Surprise to Wickenburg mostly off-road.

Welcome aboard. I'm currently in Chandler and thinking about getting a bike down here. I recently became a snowbird. I agree I am not interested in riding in the traffic down here, but there are a lot of places to explore.

Welcome, Welcome! I moved out to Phoenix about two years ago from the east coast. I have to say that I'm actually more comfortable riding out here than I was back there, and here's why: Most of the people in cars out here actually have a bike back in the garage. They're trapped in the car today for some reason or the other, but would rather be out on the bike. With that, they actually know what to look for when it comes to driving the car in a motorcycle-rich environment. On the flip side of what I just said, you guys are 100% correct, the people out here are are absolutely bat-shit crazy! I find it's mostly the young kids in a car more likely than not bought for them from a second mortgage on mommy and daddy's house. I have seen all manner of stupid on my 40 mile round trip commute to work. In any event, welcome again, good luck with the bike, drop some pictures when you get it, and stay tuned for the next ride! -E
