2004 dr-z400s
Added a bike to my stable on Friday. Still have the Brozz but wanted something with a bit more oomph. Only about 6000 miles on it and bone stock except tires and handguards. The guy I got it from said he put 100 miles on it in the past 5 years. He kept it in a heated garage and always flushed the fuel and changed the oil even with so little us. Started it regularly and kept it on a battery tender. It’s never been dropped and looks almost new. Pretty stoked. The front wheel starts to come off the ground as you roll on the throttle in 1st gear.

Very true. Much easier to find a deal on a DR650. The DR-Z400 is far less common.

I had to drive to Utica, NY to get it. 10 hour round trip! Yes, snow is here now and both the DR-Z and the Brozz are put away for the winter. Both getting the full grease and fluid change treatment over the coming months.

I want a DR-Z super moto real bad. Actually I would love 1 as a SM and keep one as an enduro.
My KLR is so heavy and plods along like a buffalo. I rode a DR 400 and it was light and flickable and felt quicker than the 650 KLR. Tried to trade but the guy would not do it. |

The DR-Z 400 is in my opinion one of the best dual sports out there, and for me one of the best suited. Your bike looks like new and it's an 04!! Awesome find

"My KLR is so heavy and plods along like a buffalo."
The KLR is a great commuter with the water cooled mill and huge fuel tank. The HOV lane is full of them. Off road is a different story.

Well I was pretty beat after 10 hours. Last summer I did do a thunder run from my house to Syracuse for a plow. That was closer to 12 hours and I left at 3am. Long day. Also get to Cortland every couple of years to visit a customer. Nice area!
