CSC tt250 kickstand design flaw ?

It seems to me like the foot pad on the kickstand should sit flat on the ground. Right now the kickstand is fully extended but only sits on the leading edge and it feels very unstable. The slightest forward bump while on the kickstand and the stand will fold up and the bike will fall over. It seems like the geometry is wrong and the stand should extend further forward instead of vertical so it isn’t on the verge of collapse. Opinions ?

My fix would to modify the mount bracket so the stand would be allowed to extend further forward , that would not only improve stability but it would make the pad sit flat

Not sure how to rotate pictures.. sorry

Not an issue in the dirt.

On blacktop I see what you mean. How about a thick piece of rubber attached with ShoeGoo glue. That'll keep it from sliding out. And it will NOT come off.
Saves you from cutting and welding.

Heat the shaft with a torch and bend it to correct angle - if your clever, you can probably do it on the bike.

Safer way would be to detach, heat and bend.

Is the bike new? If so contact CSC and they will send you a new one. Looks like it was welded on in the wrong position.

i just purchased it brand new. the pictures on the website appear to have the same fit up. I have a feeling its an issue with the manufactures welding jig.

Hopefully some of the TT250 owners will chime in. I don't think they are all like that. DID you contact CSC about it?

I wouldn't hesitate to break out the welder, grinder, torch to fix that. But I love metal fab and did it for a living.

I just did a quick search on here to find a recent post by Irishjew. As you can see in his picture the kick stand is normal. Request a new one.

Head Scratching Black Hawk 250 or CSC tt250?

Are you people talking about fixing the Black Hawk 250 or the CSC tt250 kick stand?

My early model TT250 definitely has some angle past center and is very stable and the footpad sits almost perfectly flat on my concrete floor.

my opinion lol take spring off, cut at top rotate about 30 degrees right then position stand so has right angle, maybe have to move spring hookup also. Ide call an see if could get replacement if new. Jig problem, moved at factory.

That's one way to fix it but there is no need to do all that. It's a new bike with a defective part that is covered by his warranty. All he has to do is call and send a picture to CSC and they will send him a new one. CSC is not like some of those sleazy snake in the grass companies out there. Not going to mention names but everyone know who. They will honor there warranty and take care of it quickly.

This reminds me of an episode of Andy Griffith when Aunt Bee wouldn't call the refrigerator repair man. As Andy repeatedly said "Just Call the Man"

All fixed up. Took some material off the bracket so the stand can extend further forward, once I did that the stand was too short and the bike leaned too far over. So I added a pipe sleeve as a splice and lengthened it about 1” and it is 100 times mire stable now.
