tms 200cc gy-b

Im waiting for this bike, im very excited since it will be my first bike since i had a moped. Only 200cc but i think it will be ok for a beginner.

The engine is a qingqi 200cc gy-b, havent found much info on the internet about this model though ive found alot about the gy and gy-5. Does anyone have this bike and can you tell me whats your impression?

I live in norway so I wont be able to take it on the roads yet but ill try it easy on some side roads with snow on, for fun..

Tjena!

Check this swedish thread (63 pages):

http://forum.soe.se/showthread.php?t=29277

Vi är några som kört den där ett tag. Bra kvalité, men lite trött motormässigt. Sålde min i går och köpte en Suzuki 650 Freewind i stället :-).

Good buy though. You will sure enjoy it!

Closer to you are a few members who own Qingqis in Sweden. Member 'Catastrophix' was the first know member with a Qingqi dual-sport, and he resides in Sweden.

Qingqi dual sports are newer to the US, as one of the companies that used to sell them, Pioneer Motorsports, seems to have gone out of business, and I don't think anyone here ever mentioned owning one.

However, within the last few months, Qlink, an importer who has other companies OEM for them, just started importing the 200cc motard model and rebadging it as the Qlink XF200.

According to member Catastrophix, Qingqi are the OEM's for Suzuki for their smaller displacement bikes, so your bike is essentially a Suzuki for all intents and purposes.

Welcome to Chinariders!

In the other thread i read that some say the power is like a 125cc just a bit more.. Is that maybe because the exhaust/carburator and air filter is not optimized?

Is there any way to tune these engines? Actually as long as its power is greater then my old 50cc yamaha dt with trim euro cylinder ill be happy

Hi. Congratulations, qingqi is a very popular dual purpose bike in Chile. Here it is sold under the name Euromot. The 200 cc is the GTX200.

Most everybody who owns one here is very happy with it. At the link you can find a lot of happy owners http://www.adach.cl/foro/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=34579

Have fun with it!

The bikes seem A-OK. What's QLINK's support/parts situation?

According to them, they have "98% parts stocked" whatever that might mean  , so I guess you are screwed for the other 2%?

I received the bike today, it came in a metal cage. The front wheel was not mounted but the back wheel was. The steering were also not mounted.

I unpacked it and got the front wheel in without mounting the breaks just so it could stand on the ground because it started to get dark.

One thing im a bit shocked about is that there were no instructions at all on how to put it together. Just a box with the mirrors, a tube and some other parts i have no idea what is for. And the parts list with diagrams of the whole bike.

If anyone of you here have this bike and you received it in the same way i did ill be glad to hear what you did or if you have any tips what i should do first tomorrow.

Is the battery already mounted in? Is the oil filled in the engine? Stuff like that would be nice to know

They figure that guys don't read instructions anyways, SO they don't bother sending them anymore.

Congrats....Post some pics if You can.

Battery may need to be filled with electrolyte unless it is a sealed unit. You will need to drain out the oil in the crankcase and change it with quality oil.

If you can find someone with bike experience most of the assembly is pretty straightforward.
