Anybody lower the rear shock on the TBR7 TT250
I'm 5'10 and my TBR7 sits a little tall for me ..tippy toe'in
I took the spacers out on the top of the front forks. Anyone every adjust the rear shock? Its advertised as a adjustable, though it appears like it takes a spanner wrench to do so? Did anyone adjust without a spanner wrench a-la a big pipe wrench? Best, King |

First thing to do...
Set the sags correctly the bike will sit 33% of it's suspension travel lower when you are seated.. IE.... My bike with 300mm/12" of travel sits 100mm/4" lower when my weight is on it.. Set the sags correctly... few ever do.. they fluff around with half measures end up lower but with crap suspension.. then tell everyone how wonderful the suspension is.. I suppose you only ever know as good as you have ridden.. .

I took an old punch ( probably about a 8mm diameter ) and ground it down so that it had a good bite on the locking rings at the angle i could access with the wheel still on. I was able to adjust mine with no visible damage. don't use a chisel or punch without modification or it will damage the lock rings. hope this helps. |

Thanks...ultimately, the adjustable nuts on the rear shock are the sag setting.
Just need a tape measure and reference point static sag without me on the bike and rider sag with me on the bike, probably need a buddy to help with that. |

don't know about china bikes... but jap dirt bikes are sprung for a 70/80kg rider.. if you are much lighter or heaver than that you will need new springs to get it dead right... .
