Many have done the exhaust mod. Your post must have gotten overlooked. Most Grom clone owners are posting in the street section. I'll move it there so you get more exposure.

What you need to search for on Ebay is exhaust systems for Honda DAX / Monkey , the Groms exhaust flange angle is different from the chinese Grom clones and that is why a Grom system wont direct fit.

Here is a link to the stainless exhaust i used on my 2018 Venom Vader ( Baodiao /Boom 125 ) https://www.ebay.com/itm/Stainless-Steel-Exhaust-Muffler-Pipe-For-Honda-Monkey-Z50-Z50J-Bikes-Skyteam-8/162713026326

Here is another link to an alternate style, also from EBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/Racing-Stainless-Steel-Exhaust-Pipe-Honda-Monkey-Z50-Gorilla-Bike-Skyteam-z50-2/273375044647

You can see what the exhaust i used looks like :Name: today 010.jpg

I have a 1999 Buell X-1 with a race kit. The exhaust on it is similar to this one:

It’s pretty simple. There is another member on here that sold some Vaders with this exhaust.

Let us know what you decide to go with.

If you put a Fooligan sticker on the exhaust , it will add 5 hp. Don't cheap out and put a

Photogromer or Dank Wheelie sticker on there cause those only add 3 hp. Just sayin'.

What do you guys think about this exhaust? I would like some thing that will bolt right up and not rust.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Colored-Sta...7/152491087785

Although I like the idea of this one too

https://www.ebay.com/itm/253153900879?ul_noapp=true

Will that rust and does it bolt right up?

Either of those will work, and should be direct fit. Both "say " they are stainless , so they should not rust ,the big thing on stainless exhausts is make SURE you clean it with windex or similar after you install it BEFORE you start it and get it hot or your oily fingerprints will cause it to discolor and stain. It will, over time, discolor anyways but if its not oil caused burnt in staining it can be easily cleaned to a like new look again, there are several videos on YouTube about cleaning stainless bike exhausts for reference.

I really like that crazy titanium coloring on the first one you have linked , but it is a lot more $$ than the second , simpler one ,and to be honest you will prolly be better off if you drop it stunting or otherwise acting the fool with that simple low mount one, i have replaced at least two canisters on my exhaust which is pretty much the style of the first one, from looping doing wheelies and dropping it on that side and crushing it lol .So yeah ,there is that to think about too .

I also liked the color of the crazy blue one. Here is a nicer version made in Japan. I wonder if the Chinese one is the same color blue and the photos are just lower quality.

What do you think?

If i had to bet , I'd bet it is the exact same exhaust (the Japanese one) ,being bought by someone in Japan ( from China) and being rebranded / resold. I wouldn't pay the extra money for the one that "says" it's from Japan ,it might be sold from Japan but i bet it's that same Chinese made exhaust . FWIW, my exhaust is China made and it's been perfectly fine, the only issues i have had with it are my own fault ,as in crushing canisters from crashing, the exhaust itself was well made, good welds and sounds great and dont look bad, I think you'd be fine with the one that was less cash, the only difference is indeed , likely in the quality of the photos.

I don't stunt so I won't crush it unless a cager wipes me out.

What is the exact pipe you have? Did you need to make a custom mounting bracket and did it come with a ring or did you just use the existing ring gasket?
