2019 Magician-any better?
Hey guys, I just started the journey onto chinese dualsports and this websites pretty useful. Not that it's always a good thing but i'm attracted to the cheapest, lol. I'm sure that's relatable here . I'm wondering if this "newer" RPS magician is any better than what it used to be? Or if it's even newer at all?
https://q9powersportsusa.com/collect...owersports-usa I had totally put the magician aside when I heard about the weak frame issues or mountings coming loose and stuff falling apart real easy when you take er' offroad. Thats a real bummer, because I like the magician, especially for it's cheapness (not a word). And offroad is big to me, so.. Is it still a bad idea? |

None of these bikes change much over the years and as imapdog says, they're probably older stock remarketed.

be cautious related to your off-road interest. they are not going to take as much punishment as mainstream bikes. also will require more attention to maintenance for longevity. things such as bearings and greasing will need to be looked at closely. if you're into jumping and harder MX styles, I would not go the CB route myself. I used my Hawk for off-road old-guy riding. basically, gravel forest service roads, two-track forest service roads, and some roots/rocks mixed in. the important thing about CBs is that you understand their limitations and can accept that. if not, you may have a poor experience with them. YMMV

im going against the grain.... i have personally only seen one report that had a weld crack. maybe they are all cracking but i havent personally seen a whole bunch of reports only the one. as in all things internety it goes thru 1000 upgrades and at the end of the month they are all cracking and falling apart just as one person mentions his brakes are spongy so the brake fluid from china is crap and now everyone must change it before riding or you will die! nothing wrong with the brake fluid ive been using the same oem since 2016 stops on a dime. rant over carry one. oh wait....disassemble the whole thing when you get it and reassemble

Yes yes yes..... At last someone who can think for him self... PS.. don't for get the shiping oil..... that they don't tell you to replace so you stuff the motor and give them a bad "worse " name.... and lots of warranty claims... I mean why wouldn't a company set themselves up to lose all credibility by putting oil in the motor to reduce its life.. The oil and brake fluid stories are out there now so I suppose it is a piece of mind thing in a lot of cases.. ..

Big flex.
After riding both the magician and the hawk it cracks me up that anyone thinks one is better than the other for any reason other than what fits their height. |

Thats my bike above lol. I love my Magician. Was out today with friends for a little ride, they all have Harleys and they like my Magician. They can't get over I paid 1200.00 for it. Most of them paid twice that price just for their front wheel and tire lol.
