Sprockets and Chain Interference

Right off the bat I wanted to put the 17/45 sprocket combo on since all of my riding will be on road. Everything fit fine and it worked great. Ordered an X-Ring chain (DID 428VXX130FB Chain Pro-Street X-Ring) which arrived today, but being a touch wider it hits the engine case right in front of the sprocket.... Didn't want to risk grinding through anything critical, SO I put the stock chain back on and ordered a 16/40 sprocket set. If it's too low I'll put the 15 on. All the reading and videos I've watched about these bikes and all the upgrades, I'm surprised nobody else has run into this issue.
