Doh! Hawk no start goof up

Been trying to get the Hawk started for the past two weeks, ran battery down, built a charger using lm338, still no start thought maybe battery was gone, checked spark, valves and sprayed carb cleaner into engine, ordered new carb(makuni? ) went to take the old one off and found the fuel pea cock was turned off well at least I'm getting a new better carb tomarrow, maybe my idle issues will be fixed.

I did that before. I started riding my bike. It stopped and I pushed it almost all the way home before I realized the gas was off!

I think we all have done that one time or more. Almost as bad as the kill switch accidently getting turned on and can't figure out why it won't start.

The kill switch got me on my wife's quad. I tore it down and replaced the stator before I realized that it works like a turn signal switch. I suppose it's a good anti-theft mechanism.

Doh!

Haha! The kill switch on my Intruder 800 got me this summer, I had just washed it at the car wash and thought it wasn't starting because it was wet. Took me 45 minutes to figure it out..
