Any Idea What Mikuni This Is? (CSC TT250)
I bought a bargain basement "Mikuni VM26" on Amazon for less that $40. I should have known it was too good to be true. I ordered an assortment of mains and pilots and the mains fit just fine. The pilot on the right, however, looks nothing like a VM26 pilot; if I had to guess it might be a VM28? The left one is a pilot from a set for VM26s.
The fit and finish of the carb would lead me to believe it is really some Mikuni, but it doesn't seem to want to work on my CSC TT250. I have added the aftermarket exhaust and the trash can airbox delete. I also have as shown the 40mm 45 degree angled cone filter, and the carb bolted right up and the cable fit the slide fine. Before the exhaust and carb it ran fine if seeming a little lean (like they all are for emissions). With the mystery carb main at 115, funky pilot sez 20, air screw 2 turns and the above equipment it won't idle and while it will rev it hunts a bit slowing down to an idle, idles for a few sec, then dies. I'm going to put the stock carb back on tomorrow and see if it will at least run and idle again, but I suspect I am not going to get a refund on the carb. I have a few days if someone knows what this is so I can educate the seller.

i get different style jets everytime it seems mikuni fakuni. i have seen 4 types even from same seller same carb. you have to wait for the carb and open it before ordering different sizes unless you have all makes and models of jets on hand(which i do already bc of preordering them before i saw carb) this sucks bc of wait time. jets r us has really good identification pics

Dave, I've never seen a 30mm Mikuni with three bowl screws. That's always my first indicator when I shop for one. BTW, I don't think I've ever paid more than $40.00 for one.
