Lifan 200 GY6 at Vancouver Motorcycle Show

I went to the show, I didn't take many pictures of the bike because it wasn't setup with the light kit or anything, but this is what it looks like. It looked pretty good.

I am going to be getting one next weekend, so when I have it ready to go I will post up more pictures and information about it...

The nicest looking Lifan bike so far IMO. Thanks for the pic!

Nice frame. Did they improve the swingarm pivot/front sprocket relation?

Hey tcs, that caught my eye too. Looks like they listened to you guys and made it more sturdy. Maybe they are trying to work out some issues before they get into bigger motors? N2r

I think when this model was first posted on the Chinese Lifan site, we discussed it based on its looks. Now that someone has seen it in person, with his own photo (thanks, jim) I still think the only down side is the lack of a carrier rack.

Their "show special" was $1999 (canadian), but I got a a special deal... anyways, I am going back to the show so I will try to get some more pictures... When I get my bike home I will get more pictures, and comparisons since we still have 2 gy-5's here...

I also am getting a gy-5 rear rack that I am going to mount on there, so I will have one of those too

I really didn't look at the swing arm pivot stuff that much, I mean, there is nothing I can do about that anyways, but I will try to get a picture of that area...

I went back and got 3 more pics, still not that great of pictures, one of the left side, one of the motor and mounting, and one sort of to see the rear suspension stuff but I think maybe I should've gotten it from the other side...

I didn't notice that until I was looking at the pictures, I may be picking mine up on monday if I can't work due to snow, so when I get it I will check things out in more detail.

Congratulations

Hi Jim

Congratulations on your new bike. I saw it at the show and it looks great. I just noticed on the Canadian Kawasaki website that the frame on the new KLX250S looks almost the same as your GY6. Looking forward to your future posts about the new ride.

Cheers
Leo

Yeah I was looking at that KLX 250 at the show also, it looked pretty nice, but I think the guy at the show there said the price would be around the same as a KLR 650 :o

Cool bike. I was at the international motorcycle show put on my cycle world magazine saturday and i saw a few local guys selling china bikes.

One guy had Lifans and I had a little conversation about counterbalanced engines with him.

Anyways, i thought that was a cool coincidence that lifans were seen at two motorcycle shows by two people on this forum!
