Trail tech head temp gauge on hawk
TRAIL TECH HEAD TEMP GAUGE / Cruising @ 60 mph in 88 deg heat with 100% humidity for 15 mins my temps have only reached 340 deg. Also I have 1 oil cooler installed. Will post other temps in a week or so when I install 2nd cooler.
Hope this may answer some related questions on how hot the Hawks actually get in summer heat. |

340 is well within a safe head temp. Thanks for reporting on it. I had considered getting one.

How did you connect it, Riggs? May we see a pic?

It connects under the spark plug. Unscrew plug & place sensor washer wire connection onto plug. Wire tie the rest of wire to wherever you want. The wire also has a quick disconnect plug. Screw plug back into head & your in business. All directions come with kit. I ordered it with the 10mm sized sensor & ended up having to dremel the ID of opening slightly to fit over threads of plug. Riggs, Stop posting all your new gadgets. Now you got me spending money. lol. I think I might order this gauge. It has a volt meter and two temperature sensors. I could hook one to read oil temp and hook the other with a head temp sensor. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Top-Gauge-M...wAAOSwQWxbD6jy

I'm going to put an inline T fitting just before the oil filter with oil temp gauge sending unit. Then install temp gauge on left side of cluster with bracket attached to left directional. Anyways, Temp gauge will read out before flowing through coolers. |
