Lifan 140 question

Thinking about getting a 140 to replace my current 110 motor. they have 2 versions that I have seen, a 1 down 3 up, and a 4 up. Has anyone heard of any difference in reliability or a reason to choose one and not the other? I like the 4 up concept as neutral is shitty to find sometimes on the 110, but there must be a reason most manufacturers do a 1 down 3 up on the majority of bikes in the world vice a straight 4 up right?

No difference except shift pattern. 1N234 is the international standard but it does make neutral hard to find sometimes.

Having neutral at the bottom, rather than between 1st and 2nd was easier for me. I have havent ridden a bike with a cub or clone engine in a few decades.
