My 60 LED taillight mod
Well, that useless stock taillight is finally gone... I don't think anyone should have a problem seeing that I am in front of them now.
As you can see, I removed the original, including the extra "fender" which it was mounted on (it was one piece). I added this 60 Diode LED red oval taillight that you would use on a big rig, and mounted the bracket to the bottom of the rack (it is welded on there). I also angled my license plate down, this way it isn't hidden by the new light... And it is probably more legal as it is actually able to be read now... It used to be way too steep. I do need to still add a license light, which I will do when I'm not feeling so lazy, and I need to put the reflector back on. I had to turn off the flash to make it work, this is with the lights on, and only the taillight (brakes not applied). And now with the lights off, still only the taillight...

I also put the reflector back on, now all I need for it to be good and legal is a license light, but I'm in no rush for that one.

That's definitely a great idea. Looks like it should be seen for a ways.
I removed the license plate light that came on my GY and replace it with a pair of bolts that have lights built in. They work good. Here's a LINK to a set on ebay. I can't find the pics I took of mine.

Nice. On the GY2 it is a pain to change the bulb. I am thinking that a truck/trailer LED is the way to go.

Not really, I'm going to add a license light.
It's just a standard truck taillight (well the fancy fancy led version, all different makes have different diode patterns and count, this is the one with the most diodes I could find, use it in my truck too).

I got it at Peterbilt, the light and the bracket. Then I welded the bracket to the bottom of the rack, it could probably be bolted on instead if you preferred that.
You should be able to get a light and bracket at any truck shop like peterbilt or kenworth, or some general truck one like Sams truck repairs or something... Depending on what brand of led light you get, you will probably get a different pattern for the diodes and a different diode count.
