New to china bike

My wife surprised me with an 05 Zongshen for Christmas. I'm planning on riding it to work (2 miles) It looks like a good enough bike. I've tightened just about evey bolt on it, and i changed the oil. It has only 27 miles on it. I also changed the rear sprocket from a 58 to a 48, it came with it so i figured what the heck. What can i expect owning a Zongshen?

I live in N.E. Oklahoma

What model do you have? cruiser or enduro? is it a 200cc or larger/smaller?

lots of people on here have bikes with zongshen motors, including me. From what i've read, most are pretty darn reliable if you make reasonable demands of these bikes.

Welcome to the club!

It's a 200 enduro, I don't have any paperwork on it yet. She bought it from a friend, don't worry it was all legit. Just haven't seen him yet
I'm really pleased with it for a jump on and ride. I also have an 02 YZ250F and a 06 YZ250 that pretty much sit in the garage since my son went off to collage, we hardly ride anymore. We raced the occra series here in Ok. the past 3 or 4 yrs.

The zongshens seem to have about the same record as most chinese bikes. It should handle the commute fine.

I believe my 2005 Tank trail 200 was made by Zongshen and it has been a great bike for me. No problems thus far......

Don't abuse it, keep the oil changed at the proper intervals and it should be a good bike for you.
