Questions related to Enforcer/Hawk build

More Minor Question: I've installed the handle bar and the front brake, throttle, and brake reservoir. On pics I've seen of Hawks, the front brake line is more strait across. Do you think my brake line (circled in the pic) looks okay where it is, or does it need to be moved?

I answered you on your other thread, but this one will be better because it focuses on assembly. What I stated there is some people have ropes or chains from their ceiling to suspend the bike. There has to be friends out there--beer is a good bike tool when you combine it with friends; but not too much during assembly for obvious reasons.

I removed the bolt from the forks and moved the bike back and layed it on right side to install the front wheel. The no crossbar on the handle bars has me confused just like the front brake line and the top triple clamps that look like they are extended.

sorry..... I'm going to be totaly blunt here...
if yer are unable to figger out how to get
the bike out of the crate..

You should NOT be putting it togeather yourself...

Take your time and think all this through. The bike can be awkward and heavy especially during the build process. Just a helping hand to steady it at times will help. This is no race to be finished. Do it right the first time and be confident with your new bike. Ask questions and most of all, have fun!

grab ahold of the back wheel and lift up and over after you have untied everything that is holding it to the base. then unbolt the front and do the same. then find some pillows or something soft and lay it on its left side and install rear bolt and front wheel. i fought with mine for 20 minutes trying to lift the back to put the bolt thru on my own ... wasnt happenin! then i slapped myself in the forhead and layed it over in the grass cause mine didnt have the plastics installed yet. like the new stickers better! spacer on the front goes on the disk side.

To all, disregard my comment about removing the bike. I was tired and not thinking things through and I regret posting it. I suppose it made me look dumb. This just seemed like a supportive place to post anything and I was just looking for help. It came to me afterwards.

not sure why I was blocked at that moment. And, I hardly had time to work on the bike all day, which is why I didn't make progress. It wasn't because of that dumb crate.

It doesn't look right to me. But I'm not there looking at the machine. But from here, it looks like it should go across over the top of the triple clamps, and down the left side. I think this is so because of the right angle pipe coming out of the brake cylinder. The way you have it, the hose is almost kinked coming out of that pipe.....ARH

Take your time putting together. I had to assemble mine by myself too. I used a couple of ratchet straps to keep it upright and a floor jack to lift it up for the rear shock will the front forks were still attached to the create. Once the rear shock was in place I lifted the rear out of the create and swung it to the side. Then I repositioned the straps at the rear to help hold it in place and jacked the front up to install the front wheel. If you have a place to hook a ratchets strap or hoist from the ceiling would make it real easy. Good luck, today should go a lot better after a good nights rest.

got to agree with ARH on this one, my cables naturally lay across the triple tree and drop down on the opposite sides , the clutch cable and the brake line crisscross over the tripletree.

are those the handlebars that came with the bike? thats the first i've seen without a crossbar.

I've never owned a motor-cycle where the clutch cable was long enough to go across the top of the triple trees. If you ever have clutch dragging problems, that is the first place I'd look....ARH

It looks like the front brake line is routed in front of the gauges and headlight instead of closer to the forks .

I thought it didn't look right. That's the way it came. I moved things around to have it go straight across the triple tree, right in front of the handle bars.
